What made us who we are.

Three Rivers Theater was built on a dream generations in the making: to make a space where people can grow and make memories. Ryan Cullen, owner of Three Rivers Theater, grew up seeing the impact that the right space has on others from his mother, Wanda Cullen. Wanda created the Louisiana Academy of Performing Arts (LAAPA), to teach others how to express, develop, and present their skills in a welcoming environment that embraced their enthusiasm and dreams. Working for decades under her tutelage, and becoming a talented musician himself, Ryan become Executive Director, still holding onto the values that make the academy a space for developing talent and crafting memories.

Why we are here.

Wanting to continue that legacy in a new frontier, he, along with his skilled and hard-working staff, planned and developed a special stage. One that could lift up not only the thespian, dancer, or musician, but also the leader and the innovator. We are proud to say our theater is built around the idea of serving the local community and it’s interests.
